Lantern Craft

These what you need to make a lantern :
1. Construction paper ( cut it into square, the size is depends on you)
2. Origami paper
3. Pencil
4. Ruler
5. Scissors
6. Glue
7.

What to do :
1. Make the pattern from construction paper and fold it, 1-2cm for each line

2. Cut the lines, but be careful, don't cut the border of the lines










3. Fold the paper into the color side

4. Stick the paper and fold the lantern just like the picture 

5. And now you can decorate the lantern with the origami paper., you can hang it on your class door or just put on the bookshelf or table

Cooking Craft

  Satay

 

When we learn about food, we made satay as the craft. For this, we need : 

1. Paper plate

2. Foam

3. Brown paint 

4. Skewers

5. Red or green oil paper 

How to make : 

1. shaped the foam into small square

2. Use the skewer to pin the foam

3. Paint the foams

4. Put the satay on the paper plate

5. Crush the paper oil and put next to the satay as the chili     sauce.

Sparkling Raindrops

After learning about the Water Cycle, it's time for crafting!! :D

We made clouds with sparkling raindrops. We used white contraction paper ( grey will be great too) and colorful plastic paper. :)

It's Raining!!

At school we learn how the rain occurs ( The Water Cycle). We provide artificial rain for the kids. They really love it!!. We ask them to bring their raincoat and umbrella. And for more fun, we sing Rain Rain Go Away, from Super Simple Learning. What a great time :)

Kindergarten Science Project

Teaching science in Kindergarten is important. It can make the kids aware with their surrounding. This is one of activities for kindergarten science project. Few days ago, I taught about sink and float. I divided the kids into groups, two kids per groups. I gave them some objects, such as stone, ball, leave. The kids observed which object that sink and float, then they wrote in their paper. It is also help the kids to practice their writing skills. They really enjoyed the activity.

Tracing Craft for Kindergarten

Tracing Alphabets 

A few days ago, I taught Uppercase tracing to my kids.For their craft, we made tracing of the green beans. It is easy, we just need origami paper and double-sided tape. The kids would put green beans in accordance with the existing tracing lines.

Me and My Classroom

This year, I teach kindergarten class for the first time. I use a new class.  I painted the class and chose "Garden" to be my theme. I painted a big tree. sometimes, my kids like to sit under the tree for reading or having a rest. I also painted the wall with some colorful flowers. 

 The other side of my classroom, I put "Master Pieces" side. I put my kids activity sheets or art and craft in this side. 

this is the side of alphabets, at the beginning of the class, we sing the alphabets song. Sometimes, we play the alphabets guessing. " what says b?". my kids like it. 

This is the calendar, at the beginning of the class the line leader, will tell us the day, date, month and year. then, we sing the Days song.

I love my class and my kids :). I know this year is a little bit hard for me, I just start to learn how to be a good kindergarten teacher. I try to make my class as nice as possible, so my kids or everyone can feel comfort in my class. However, I do realize is not about the classroom, but it's also about myself, my kids, my lesson plan, the way I teach, how I interact with my kids...it's a complex thing. I do hope for the next year everything can be better for me, my kids, my class, my friends and all the kids at school. M' Evy says "Teach with your heart"
